Biography
Kris Troukens
46 years old, Kris has started off within the hotel-industry.
He project managed the start-up of the 7-property, 5000+ rooms, EuroDisney
resorts in Paris.
He implemented new IT operating standards within Hilton North-East Asia.
He project managed the implementation of the first touch-screen POS system
in China.
Co-ordinated the Y2K project for Hilton International Worldwide
Implemented Back-Office support desk at IBM Belgium.
Designed and implemented an education planning-system for all European IBM
Employees.
Kris is PMP certified, and is regularly speaking on Project Management and
IT issues, both within and outside IBM.
With his extensive knowledge, Kris is regularly speaking and teaching
on the following Hospitality Industry topics :
Accounting & Finance, based around the Uniform System of Accounts for
Hospitality industry.
Food & Beverage Management, types of outlets, revenue forecasting.
Learning & Human Resources Management.
Information Systems - covering theory, common used systems, Reservations (+
forecasting, and overbooking), Global Distribution Systems, Interfaces, Web
aspects.
Management and Organizational Behaviour
Marketing and Public Relations
Operations Management - covering Hotel Operations, Food Operations,
Restaurant Management, Catering, Yield management, group booking aspects,
Allotments.
Event Management, and how to achieve the best in conferences, exhibitions
and conventions.

Kris is elected on the Board of Directors of PMI-Belgium, for the period
2008-2009.
